Construction Advances at Syosset Station

Construction is advancing at Syosset Station. The steel frame for the new station building has been erected, wooden walls are being constructed and six new windows have been installed. There is a new bench with seating for four and a new USB charging station in each shelter on the eastbound platform, which is also undergoing spot surface repairs. Work on a concrete retaining wall beneath the westbound platform between the stairs and the end of the platform continues. Syosset Station will also receive new bike racks, CCTV cameras, free public Wi-Fi, improved wayfinding signage and energy-efficient lighting, and the station plaza will be upgraded. This multi-million-dollar project is targeted for completion in February 2019.
