Project Overview

The Carle Place substation, located at the southeast quadrant of Meadowbrook State Parkway and the LIRR just north of Mallard Road, will be replaced as part of the LIRR Expansion Project from Floral Park to Hicksville. This substation is approximately 40 years old and nearing the end of its operational life.
