The revamped East Hampton station opened today. Riders can enjoy the climate-controlled waiting room, USB charging ports, new interior and exterior sensory lightings and other new permanent features.

The MTA LIRR has completed the installation of 64 exterior USB charging ports and 24 interior USB charging ports in the waiting room of the East Hampton station. All 86 USB charging ports are fully functional and operating.
The train station on Railroad Avenue, which shelters Long Island Rail Road passengers, is currently undergoing renovations. According to Aaron Donovan, deputy communications director for the LIRR, construction officially began on March 19, and the work is expected to be completed by March 2019.
