Construction has started at Bellmore station on August 6th. New features will include platform repairs, platform canopy roofing rehabilitation and renovation of the platform waiting room, which will include new windows, doors, wall tiles, lighting and a new HVAC system for customer comfort. Enhancements to Bellmore Station are part of a broader LIRR initiative to strengthen and support the growth and development of Long Island.
