Mets-Willets Point Station, built in 1963, services the Port Washington Branch and is located in Flushing Meadows Park. This station is open on a seasonal basis, bringing LIRR passengers directly to the world class spectator venue at Citi Field including New York Mets baseball games, stadium concerts and cultural events. During 2017, LIRR advanced the environmental review and preliminary design processes for a new Mets-Willets Point Station and its associated infrastructure. This modernized facility will support future ridership demands and provide full ADA access at the station. In addition, the new station aims to enhance the passenger experience by providing more comfortable and reliable transportation to the Mets-Willets Station.
