Since the approval of the third track project last year, MTA officials have wasted no time in rolling out plans across the 9.8-mile stretch from Floral Park to Hicksville.
The Mineola substation, located at the southwest corner of Main Street and Front Street in Mineola, will be replaced as part of the LIRR Expansion Project from Floral Park to Hicksville. This substation is approximately 40 years old and nearing the end of its operational life.
