Port Jefferson Station, located on the Port Jefferson Branch and serving 1,375 weekday riders, is currently receiving station enhancements, slated to be completed by the late summer or early fall of 2018. The station improvements will include a rehabilitated station house waiting area and restroom facilities. The waiting area will be outfitted with Wi-Fi, charging stations, and updated information displays. The station building exterior will also be renewed. The exterior station environment will be enhanced by reconfiguring the plaza area, improving customer flow and parking improvements. The platform railings, shelter shed, signage and lighting will also be enhanced.
