The Webster Avenue Bridge, built in 1897, is located in Manhasset in the Town of North Hempstead and serves the Port Washington Branch. The purpose of this state-of-good-repair project is to replace the Webster Avenue vehicular bridge over LIRR Port Washington Branch track in order to reduce maintenance and enhance safety. The project is currently in the preliminary design phase, which began in November 2017 and is anticipated to be completed by August 2018.
