Erection of the concrete parking structure on Harrison Avenue has progressed quickly with the use of precast concrete panels, saving time and cost. Over the next few months the construction team will transform the structure into a completed parking facility by installing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and architectural finishes.
The parking garage will include an elevator and will open next summer, providing an expanded 551 spaces for the modernized Mineola LIRR station, benefitting residents, commuters and small businesses in Mineola and the surrounding communities. AModernLI met with Project Engineer Tien Tran to review the details, take a look:
The new Mineola Harrison Avenue parking structure will help accommodate a future increase in capacity on the LIRR. For more information and construction photos, please visit the Mineola Harrison Parking Structure project page on AModernLI.com.
